Men's League Rules
Official rules for The V League.
- The game will consist of two 22-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime.
- Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per half.
- Overtime is 3 minutes in length with 1 timeout per team.
- In the 1st and 2nd half, clock stoppage happens during the final 2 minutes on any whistle or out of bounds play.
- If a team leads by 20 points or more in the second half, the clock becomes running time.
- Foul Shots: At 7 team fouls it’s 1-and-1, and at 10 fouls it’s 2 shots.
- If a team does not have enough players to play, both team captains must agree on replacement/fill-in players. The game will officially be a forfeit for the team short players but can play on. We want to avoid forfeits at all cost.
- A team that forfeits will count as 2 losses. Any team that has a second forfeit will be suspended for the remainder of the season and up to 6 months.
- A player can change teams if they choose but it must be done before the 3rd week of the season. No exceptions.
- A player without their CCSF game jersey is an automatic technical foul that will start before tip-off. Grace period is the first two weeks of the season.
- Fouling out will occur on the player’s 6th foul.
- There is zero tolerance for fighting. You will be suspended from the facility.
- If a player gets two technical fouls, they must leave the facility immediately.
- All teams must be paid in full by week 3 or the team will be eliminated from the league.
- The 2nd team on the schedule is the Home Team and the 1st team on the schedule is the Away Team. The Home Team will wear their white jerseys and the Away Team will wear their black jerseys. This is important for accurate player stats.
